Our first year at the new “Classroom” location was a huge success!

We would like to thank everyone who attended the 2019 East Coast DOG. It was a big change from the previous years as we moved to the new location on the other side of the park, known as “The Classroom”. I think everyone will agree, the location was a big improvement. The views are just incredible! It didn’t hurt that we had near perfect weather all weekend either. We had a total of 46 pots on the table for Saturday nights dinner, but there were at least a half dozen foil liner type dishes that were not in ovens, so we had over 50 dishes served up. That is our highest number yet. We are growing nicely, and it is all because of the participants! We will be working hard over the next few months to get the website updated for next years DOG, so keep checking back for information. Next years event will be held on September 11-13, 2020 at the same location. We hope to see you there!

The East Coast DOG is open to anyone who has an interest in Dutch oven cooking, regardless of your skill level. We encourage everyone to come and join us for a fun day of learning, cooking, meeting some great people and of course eating. Whether you are a seasoned veteran, or have never touched a black pot before, there is always something for you at the East Coast DOG. We will be having Dutch oven classes, a one pot cook-off, and a potluck dinner at the end of the day. We are also not far from Gettysburg, Hershey, and Lancaster, if you would like to do some sightseeing. If you aren’t sure you are ready to cook, the public is welcome to come and talk with any of the cooks participating. So bring your iron, and cook up some goodness. It is going to be a great event, and we hope you will join us.

Thanks for visiting! Please, also visit our sponsors and participants websites below. Without their support, we wouldn’t be able to put on this great event.
